Tormentor of Cats!
You say that like it's a bad thing... ;)

He's not allergic, and he's not yet able to put the concept together that if he chases them one minute, they're not going to let him pet them the next. He are smrt.

Vir is afraid of everybody at first, and then best friends with everybody after a while. He'd probably get along with a Tormentor of Cats (at least it would keep him too busy to pester the other two cats).

>> Denier of Naptime!

My son's going through another sleep-is-for-chumps phase. When he learns to talk I think he'll be following in Julian's shoes.

Julian is working his way out of his nap. He's convinced that sleep at night is some sort of joke. Eema and Abba aren't thrilled with this, because we're pretty darn fond of sleep at night. I think the goal will be to have him run laps around the planet until he's tired enough for bed.

Maybe you should get him on of these: http://hackedgadgets.com/2006/07/24/human-hamseter-wheel

We so totally need that. I couldn't get the video to run, but Julian would love it. The shredded newspaper is bonus.

Just give fair warning if you're going to speed up planetary rotation that way.

I think sufficiently rapid rotation can also break the spacetime continuum....

I also thought of a human-hamster-wheel arrangement, though I'd suggest hooking it up to a generator of some sort so as to get some use out of all that energy.

we've been trying to engineer exactly such a thing for about 2 years now, but haven't figured out exactly how to do it.

Perhaps this could be a source of a superpowered kid icon? (I'm thinking specifically of a clipping out of the Lightning Baby part...)

I have no image fu, or I'd offer.....

allah_sulu has image fu, so if he reads this and feels like doing something, groovy. If not, no worries.

I'm not allah_sulu...

...but I have perhaps a smidget of image-fu. I've emailed an LJ-sized icon to you. :)

The sand thing may continue for a while...

The other day Lauren (6 now) came home with both her shoes filled with sand. I don't know how she squeezed her feet into them, it must have been quite an effort.

That's astounding. I'm quite impressed.

Whoa, whoa, whoa, WHOA.

This "tormentor of cats" thing is a bit over the edge, don't you think?

I mean, Librarians, I can understand.

Liberator of playground sand, quite commendable, but cat tormenting...

Julian needs a *dog*. That's what I think.
