Jill/Jon-

Sorry, I can't find a current email address for you. Not surprising, plus I haven't used LJ in months. Life's been busy. I hope you'll see this, and I'll check with Karen to see if she has an current way to reach you. Failing that...

Jan Pelon, Ian Soboroff's mother, was niftar yesterday. Funeral is 1 pm today at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery: 9500 Riggs Road, Adelphi, MD 20783 (301) 434-4640; Take Beltway Exit 28B (South) onto New Hampshire Avenue. Turn left on Adelphi Road (second light). Proceed 0.4 mile to cemetery, on left.

Ian will be sitting shiva at his home 1420 Crestridge Drive through Thursday morning.

Shacharis on Sunday will be at 8AM, and Mincha/Maariv on Sunday-Wednesday will be at 7PM. Shacharis times on Monday-Thursday will be announced, along with specific shiva times.

Love,

Seth

No problem. Karen got them for me, but it's good for others to have them as well. Thanks for the offer to drive me. I think everything will be fine going with Chanoch, and I will let you know if we have more passengers than we can fit.

Very good. At the moment, I'm driving alone. Frankly, this is why we need a shul mailing list for the members.

I've forwarded Karen's e-mail to Jill's most current e-mail (although I seem to have lost Jon's!). ::sigh:: Please give Ian our love. I can't make the funeral, but I might be able to make it to shiva.

Thanks. I've lost Jon's also, but there's not much I can do about it in the time available. I will give Ian your love, and with luck he'll retain the conversation later on.

No worries. We're doing what we can for the Soboroffs, and they're doing okay too. I'm getting the feeling that now that the issues with her health (diabetes, cancer, etc.) are over, they are thinking she's in a better place.

How are you? I haven't been on LJ much in the last 6 months. Too darn busy.

Oh, about the same. Sister's coming to visit later this month. Gearing up for the Homespun Yarn Party (I organize it) and singing a lot for church coming up for Easter. All's well around here, aside from Matthew's lack of motivation to do anything with his life.

Parts of that sound good, save for the Matthew and motivation. Perhaps he might be interested in a life of gold farming?

I can't recall; is there a specific time when Ian won't be taking phone calls? (i.e. would this weekend be not good?) I turn to you guys, my frummer friends, for help...

Thanks for letting me know. I'll pass the word to my parents. And Seth, I'll e-mail you my contact info again.

I didn't take calls at all during shiva, but because I was not given family minhagim, I followed what seemed to be general practice. I don't know what minhag Ian follows, so I don't know if he's taking calls. You should email him to ask, and if he doesn't respond, then you know he's not available. Alida's answering the phone if you want to call directly to the house.

I made it there for mincha/maariv tonight. That seems to be the consensus. Thanks!
