Aah, the final punchline

So, the last bit of my recent physical came through yesterday. My doctor called and told me that my HDL ("good cholesterol") was low and my triglycerides (fat circulating in my blood) were high. Bottom line: I have 3 months to fix that with diet & exercise or go on yet another medication.

So, today, I'm going to exercise again. He suggested I exercise for at least 1/2 hour every day...today is no problem. I'm leaving for Toronto tomorrow (AZO convention) and I'll take gym clothes with me. Diet I'll have to start working on when I get back...I've already chosen the healthiest options for eating while at the convention (e.g. the closest items I can have to kosher are fish)...so hopefully I can make the transition smoothly.

I also have several other things to accomplish today: cleaning my office, sending some correspondence, doing my job for the fraternity (deciding which students will receive scholarships) and putting together some fun stuff for Toronto. I'll be meeting a friend there that I met online - he and I both play some similar games. Once I get the convention schedule hammered out, I should be able to figure out when we can meet.

Oh, and to prepare for my trip to Canada I have tickets tonight for Rush at the Nissan Pavilion. Excellent. 8^)

See you there!
...or maybe not see you there. It's a big place. However, if you're in the neighborhood of section 303, row A, seats 33 & 34, you'd have a much better chance of finding me... 8^)

Re: See you there!
We plan to have a great time. I haven't seen them since 1990; my friend Darren (he has the other seat) has seen them every tour since dinosaurs roamed the earth. The only problem is getting enough sleep that I make it to the airport on time tomorrow. Oh well...sacrifices have to be made! 8^)

Yeah, and you can sleep on the plane. (Well, it's a theory!)

Have fun in Toronto!

I was thinking more that the flight from DC to Toronto is probably, what, an hour and a half? After you factor in takeoff, landing, and the security drill, there's not much time left for actual sleeping.

Re: See you there!
Probably not. However, if I'm tired, out I go. Simple, ain't it?

I wouldn't count on sleeping on the plane. The plane I took from BWI to Toronto was one of those cute little planes that seats about 35 people. You'll be lucky if you fit in the seat. Plus, as Monica pointed out, it's about an hour flight...not much time to sleep. :)

I'll miss you!
