Bleargh

I had a quiet day planned.
(Thursdays are my day off)
I was going to sleep in, then catch up on TV from the last week or so, then sort video tapes, and do some cleaning. I was waiting for a package in the mail, and UPS must have a signature before it can be dropped off.
I couldn't fall back to sleep today after Karen woke up. It's a good thing that I started early on the day, because that meant I got *something* done.
Around 10am, Karen called from work (in DC) to tell me she needed me to bring something she'd left at home. No sweat, it's my day off. On the metro train downtown, I started to get motion sick. That's uncommon for me. We met, had lunch, and I started feeling worse. 8^( I ended up spending 3 hours on the errand downtown, and another 3 hours or so being sick/napping. UPS showed up when I was out, and so I didn't get the package.
On the plus side, I was feeling well enough this morning to get a batch of dishes done. I did another one right before cooking, and I suppose that it's a good time to clean my mess (the bread was starting to grow stuff, so I snipped off the moldy bits and made french toast) from 'dinner'. I never think that breakfast foods for dinner are normal, but that's what I had. Went whole hog, too...butter, syrup (not real syrup, unfortunately...gotta fix that) and whipped cream. I could only eat 3 pieces, tho. My midsection's still not quite right.
I have paperwork to do (both physical and electronic) but I think it's not going to get done tonight. After I do some dishes (and Karen winds her way home) we might watch some TV or read together or something simple. Simple is about all I'm up for now.
Good thing tomorrow is Friday, eh? 8^) Here's hope that the weekend holds better stuff ahead.

You were feeling sick, but you threw away your incipient penicillin? Poor planning. :-)

Seriously, I hope you're feeling better soon, and that UPS doesn't get too creative with the delivery of your package.
