Not dead yet

I still have this cough. Not dead yet. Not necessarily well enough to finish whatever paperwork's around. That is to say, not all New Year's cards have been sent. If you responded to my earlier post and haven't gotten the card, it's us, not you. You haven't been forgotten.

On a brighter note, I don't have cancer yet. In at least one place. I had an upper endoscopy on Tuesday. This was to check to see if my GERD was causing Barritt's Esophagitis, which can be a precancerous condition. I don't have it, so as long as I keep taking my GERD medication (that is, for the rest of my life) I won't get Barritt's and thus are at low risk for esophageal cancer.

Work is busy, so I'll sign out now and get back to business.

Joel is having one of those o-so-wonderful tests today but on the other end (how's that for TMI?)
Let's hope his results are as good as yours :)

No shit?
Wish him good luck (and good anasthesia) for me on his procedure. My last upper endoscopy was without anasthesia, and this time was highly preferred.

Re: No shit?
All is good, nothing to report, all clear :)

Thanks for your support, I passed it along.

When you cut-tag that and called it TMI, I naturally assumed you were taking about potential cancer somewhere else. I was going to point out that I've already had one friend who lost a dangly bit, and I didn't need another friend to do so...

Getting tested for testicular cancer takes a lot of balls
Nope, I'm concerned about cancer everywhere. I need to get one of my skin discolorations checked too, before I die like that Monty Python prince.
