Brain trust

I'm interested in buying exercise equipment, specifically an exercise bike and a treadmill. I'm not interested in spending a collective $2K. I'm interested in a Lifecycle, non-recumbent. Anyone have thoughts on the best way to acquire said equipment in a non-expensive fashion?

I have a treadmill you can buy cheap. I haven't used it in over a year and it's taking up space. It's powered and has all kinds of adjustment dealios.

My other suggestion would be to try Craigslist under 'sporting' and 'general' because people are always miscategorizing things.

Thanks much. I'll talk to Karen and find out what she's interested in doing.

awesome! (the treadmill, you see, is for me, so I care more about the treadmill and less about the exercise bike!)

There are stores out that specialize in reselling used fitness equipment (like Play it again sports, and also one other big chain) which can be nice because they check out the equipment before they resell it.

Much obliged. I'll investigate further tomorrow...I've taken the day off to get things done. This should be one of them.

I'd check if there's a local Freecycle group.
